Dat de emancipatie ver gaat in Israël is goed terug te zien binnen het Israëlische leger waar vrouwen met regelmaat terug te vinden zijn op gevechtsposities:
Every year, hundreds of girls enlist in combat units. Today, there are tens of combat positions open to women in a wide range of IDF units, corps and branches. The amount of female secretaries in the IDF has decreased significantly in the past few years. The most popular combat positions include those in the Artillery Corps, infantry positions in the Karakal battalion, positions in the Israel Navy’s Snapir unit, positions in IAF anti-aircraft support units, positions in field intelligence, positions in the Search and Rescue unit and othersOm de ogen van de Anja Meulenbelten, Tofik Dibi's, Harry van Bommels enz nog verder te openen over het wonder van emancipatie in de Joodse staat nog maar wat cijfers:
Women constitute 25% of Officers, and 20% of Career Soldiers. Almost half (45%) are 1st Lieutenants, a quarter are Lieutenants, and slightly less than a quarter (23% and 22%) of Captains and Majors, respectively are women.
